UVC Partners Becomes the Main Partner of the Student Initiative START Munich
Munich, February 16, 2023 – UVC Partners becomes the main partner of the student initiative START Munich. Together, they want to shape the Munich startup ecosystem by providing students with a unique network of knowledge, resources, and people.
The city of Munich is known as one of the most innovative hotspots for start-ups in Europe. Not only do investors and accelerators support this development, but student initiatives such as START Munich are also developing the Munich start-up ecosystem. By organizing pitching events, hackathons, or smaller workshops with founders and investors, they accompany the entrepreneurial journey of their members and give them a kickstart into the Munich startup scene.
Crucial for the vibrant start-up ecosystem of Munich are also investors that support founders and students with capital, knowledge, network, and mentorship. UVC Partners, one of Europe’s leading B2B-Tech venture capital funds, has now become the main partner of START Munich to enable students to become impactful entrepreneurs and innovators. “UVC Partners has always been close to student initiatives because of our close relationship with UnternehmerTUM, which is again affiliated with the Technical University of Munich (TUM). We are absolutely amazed by the drive of the students following their visions of future technologies and business models to solve some of the biggest economic, social, or sustainability challenges,” says Benjamin Erhart, General Partner, UVC Partners.
“Therefore, it was a very logical step for us to support START Munich. We look forward to this cooperation and will contribute in the best way possible to make it successful”, adds Daniel Reese, Investment Manager, UVC Partners, leading this partnership. Together, START Munich and UVC Partners have already hosted the “Ideasprint” Hackathon 2022, a Hackathon created by START Munich where students worked on business and tech challenges for four days and pitched the results in front of a jury.
“We are incredibly excited about this new partnership and are convinced this is a perfect match. Initiatives like ours can immensely benefit by having well-experienced partners such as UVC Partners, and we are looking forward to many events and workshops together”, says Toni Koster, president of START Munich.
